Finally Summer – Nylons in all Colors
Hello everyone,
I hope you’re as happy as I am that after what felt like an eternity of rain and cold, it’s finally warm and sunny. The great weather not only lifts spirits, but also ushers in the time when I get my wardrobe ready for summer. The thick jackets and coats, along with scarves and hats, go into the back of the closet, making room for denim jackets, blouses, peeptoes, and nylons.

The brighter, the better is my motto when it comes to summer clothing. My absolute favorite is the combination of denim and floral patterns. A great denim skirt with a ruffled floral blouse over it and wedge-heeled peeptoes underneath immediately makes you long for vacation, beach, and sea. As soon as the sun hat is on your head, you’re already dreaming yourself away from the mundane daily grind.
Naturally, the question now is, what’s in this summer and, of course, which nylons can I best showcase?
In 2017, crochet fashion is back in style, as are hats. That makes me incredibly happy, as I mentioned before, I simply find hats beautiful and crocheted clothing really makes a statement, especially when combined with denim skirts or short denim shorts. And that brings us to the topic of nylons, because skirts and now even shorts combined with colorful nylons. An eye-catcher and a recent trend. For the bold, we also have many beautiful, colorful nylons to choose from in our shop! For example, the Oh là là in bright red or an RHT from the Gold Edition in fuchsia, coral, or electric (blue); they are definitely eye-catching.

And then I discovered the trend of hipbone cutouts – unfortunately! A trend I don’t know how to express positively; it just looks strange, unsightly, and wrong. A bodysuit cut so low that you can see the hipbones, but just see for yourselves: http://www.instyle.de/fashion/hipbone-cutouts-neuer-trend
Last Week I Talked about the “Climate” in Nylons in the Heat…
Nylons in summer are no problem and a real asset, especially under dresses. Who hasn’t experienced it? You sit on the sofa, and as soon as you try to stand up, your thighs stick to the leather. That doesn’t happen with nylons. Legs don’t chafe against each other, the dress doesn’t stick between your legs, and the very best effect: your legs look wonderfully smooth and flawless! So, an absolute yes to nylon stockings in summer.

The only problem with this is open-toed shoes… you always see the seam or the reinforcements. There are now stockings specifically for summer without reinforced toes or even with open toes, but unfortunately not yet available at Vicky’s Nylons. The subtly reinforced Oh là là’s are best recommended for this. Additionally, there are manufacturers who promise a cooling effect due to an ion component in the fabric. I can’t say anything about that yet, but it sounds interesting.
That’s it for this week, see you soon
Your Julia
